Step-by-step instructions for restoring your diploma/certificate


Obtaining a duplicate diploma


To apply for a duplicate diploma through the egov.kz portal you must:

  • obtain an EDS (electronic digital signature);
  • log in and submit an application addressed to the head of the university, in which it is necessary to state the circumstances of the loss of the education document or other reasons (change of last name, first name, patronymic (if any), unsuitability or errors when filling out the document).

To apply for a duplicate diploma at the branches of the Public Service Center at the location of the educational institution where the diploma was issued, you must provide the following documents:

an application addressed to the head of the university, where it is necessary to state the circumstances of the loss of the education document or other reasons (change of last name, first name, patronymic (if any), unsuitability or errors when filling out the document);
copy and original identity document.

Duration of service provision: 30 calendar days.

The final result of the service: a duplicate of documents on higher and postgraduate education.

It is important to know:

A duplicate of the diploma is issued once with an annex indicating the curriculum and the number of disciplines studied with grades for each of them.

A duplicate of the diploma is signed by the rector of the university, as well as by the state examination commission approved for the current year.
The issuance of a duplicate diploma is carried out by the vice-rector of a higher educational institution.

Restoration of secondary education certificate

To apply for a duplicate of a certificate of secondary education through the egov.kz portal you must:

  • obtain an EDS (electronic digital signature);
  • log in and submit an application addressed to the head of the university, in which it is necessary to state the circumstances of the loss of the education document or other reasons (change of last name, first name, patronymic (if any), unsuitability or errors when filling out the document).

To restore a certificate of secondary education at the Public Service Center, you must provide:

a statement in the prescribed form, in which it is necessary to set out the circumstances of the loss of the document or other reasons;

a copy of the birth certificate (if born before 2008);

an identification document of the parent (guardian, trustee, foster carer) of a minor child, or an

 identification document of the service recipient (required for personal identification).

Duration of service provision: 15 working days.

The final result of the service: issuance of a duplicate certificate of basic secondary education, a duplicate of a certificate of general secondary education.

It is important to know:

Unlike other educational documents, no payment is made for restoring a certificate.
If the educational institution that issued the certificate of secondary education does not exist today, you must contact the archive at the place of registration to obtain a certificate confirming that you graduated from a secondary educational institution.
