Kazakh youth recommendations to be presented at the 28th UN climate change conference
Astana hosted the Local Conference of Youth on Climate Change in Kazakhstan (LCOY Kazakhstan 2024), a platform for young people to discuss and propose solutions on climate change and environmental challenges. Experts, policymakers, and eco-activists also joined the discussions.
Key topics included “Climate Change in Kazakhstan,” “Assessing the Impact of Climate Change on the Water Sector,” “Local Solutions for Climate Adaptation,” and “The Importance and Future Prospects of Mass Adoption of Green, Sustainable, and Modern Energy in Kazakhstan.”
The outcome of LCOY Kazakhstan 2024 will be a statement containing recommendations from Kazakh youth, which will be presented at the 28th UN Climate Change Conference in Baku.
